The Short Center Repertory Interviews

May 4th, 2007

Interview with Robert Maciejewski

I started acting between eighteen and twenty-one in San Jose. I did the production called the street scene, it takes place in New York and it was great really great.  I just did some extras not the speaking parts on that play, for the start it was the first production that I had done. Then I moved up to Sacramento in 1990. Then I started with them, The Short Center Repertory, the Miracle Worker, the Shepard’s Play, Trial By Jury, then this play, Time Flies, that’s all I can think of.

Mostly the plays that really helped me open up the personal side, knowing how to communicate with other people. But it’s fun. It was fun. What I think of this play is so hilarious and it s good and it s funny but its also interesting when you know your playing another character and stuff, its like being something that your not…your playing a different you. But even when you do the play its quite interesting where people will get you and say “Wow, you’re great”, cause I have people tell me that, that I’ve been doing really good, I have good response. People let me know “boy, your good” on every play that I have done.
